Hello, my name is Paul Barenie, and I am a Patent, Trademark and Copyright Attorney with over 25 years of experience helping inventors, business owners and artists protect  their valuable innovations, like inventions, trademarks (i.e., business slogans and logos), and creative works. 

I attended Purdue University for my undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering, and received my law degree from Valparaiso University School of Law.  I am registered to practice law in Indiana and Illinois, and am a registered Patent Attorney before the Patent Bar. As a registered Patent Attorney, I am qualified to represent clients before the US Patent Office. 

 I began my career practicing in large firms in Chicago, where I served Fortune 500 Companies as well as small businesses. During that time, I was exposed to many different technologies, and was mentored by several great intellectual property attorneys. As I developed my own knowledge base and personal style, I discovered that I was drawn to working on a more personal level with my clients. As a result, in 2003, I chose to embark on a solo career. In this venue, I was able to devote more time to establishing more personable relationships with my clients.
